We are delighted to share the excellent results of our Year 6 pupils for 2026, who have all secured their places at their first-choice senior schools – over almost half of the cohort also achieving scholarship awards.
Whilst the 11+ brings an element of uncertainty, the freedom to target the destination which is best suited to your child is invaluable.
Truly independent prep schools are becoming a rare beast, and Elmhurst is fortunate enough to enjoy the privilege of serving our parents’ preferences for senior school rather than steering them to a pre-determined outcome.

A brilliant, talented cohort, like those before them, have worked hard to achieve their senior school ambitions and, to a child, they have not disappointed. Scholarship awards have once again been earned and places secured at leading independent schools that are some of the very best in the country.
The rest of the academic year will now focus on being ready to hit the ground running in Year 7, emotionally, practically and academically. A leaver’s show will be prepared, a business enterprise born, and some rather challenging algebra tackled. Surely the perfect ingredients for a tremendous prep school end.
