Whilst the pandemic brought about swift changes to working patterns, six years on in London the data suggests we have almost returned to our pre-Covid working arrangements and in some parts of London, are actually making more journeys to work than ever before.
For Elmhurst families, fortunate enough to live within easy commuting distance of the capital, those changing patterns are bringing new challenges to bear and young families particularly face the daily juggle of responsibilities as both parents pursue careers. In the last few years we have made changes to optimize our offer for families.
Affordable Fees including 8am – 6pm provision
Elmhurst now offers an all inclusive fee option for parents that enables school drop offs anytime from 8am (school starts at 8:40am) and collection anytime until 6pm. Childcare vouchers can be used in part payment for the childcare element of fees.
A school for the expanding, young family
In April 2025, Little Elmhurst Nursery was launched with our school families in mind, aiming to simplify the school run and enable working parents an easy transition into work.
Our excellent location adjacent to South Croydon Rail Station and a short walk from East Croydon really supports any commuting parents. So too do local bus routes and our car park enables day stays on a first come, first served basis.
All year round school
With holiday club provision throughout the year, Elmhurst also offers a convenient and inexpensive solution to out of school care. Open to all school families and others in the local area, our holiday clubs are designed to provide relaxed, enjoyable safe spaces for children through holiday periods.
