Our academic success doesn’t happen by accident. We are proud of our talented teaching team, where specialist instruction in most subjects begins early in a pupil’s journey. This expertise, combined with small class sizes, allows for a truly bespoke education.
We don’t believe in “one size fits all”. Through rigorous diagnostic assessments and our pupil mentoring cycles, we maintain a close, transparent connection with parents. This determination is certainly visible on the sports field. Despite being a smaller, tight-knit school, Elmhurst consistently triumphs over much larger institutions in football, cricket, swimming, and hockey among other sports.
We were recently honored to welcome cricket legend Angus Fraser MBE to officially open our brand-new cricket nets. His visit was a masterclass in determination, reminding our pupils that world-class success starts with the same tenacity they show during their weekly training sessions. Whether it’s in the pool or on the pitch, our pupils play with a heart and focus that belies our size.
Enrichment Beyond the Classroom
Determination is also found in the pursuit of new passions. Our wide range of enrichment opportunities allows pupils to test their limits within and beyond the curriculum. Our broad choice of clubs is designed to spark that fire: from the logic of STEM and our popular Microgeeks club to the creative depths of Art and Music to the discipline of Tae-Kwon Do and Badminton to the intellectual rigour of Debating.
Results That Speak Volumes
The ultimate proof of this determined culture is found in our 11+ outcomes. Our 2026 leavers have achieved a 100% success rate in securing places at their first-choice senior schools, including titans like Trinity, Whitgift, and Dulwich College. Nearly half of our cohort secured scholarships – not just for academics, but across Performing Arts, Music, Sport, and Art. Our recent graduates now attend some of the most elite establishments in the UK, including Wilsons and other grammar schools.
