Calling All Parent Volunteers!
At Elmhurst, we believe that a strong partnership between school and home is essential for the success and development of our students. We are currently seeking enthusiastic parent volunteers to join our team and make a difference in our school community.
How You Can Help
We are looking for parents who are willing to share their time and talents by helping in the following areas:
- Listening to Children Read: Reading is a fundamental skill that opens doors to learning. We are looking for volunteers who can spend time listening to children read, helping to build their confidence, fluency, and love for reading. Your support can make a significant impact on their literacy development and overall academic progress.
- Helping Out in the Library: Our school library is a hub of learning and exploration. We need volunteers to assist with various tasks, including organising books, helping students find reading materials, and supporting library activities. Your involvement will help keep our library running smoothly and encourage a love of reading among our students.
- Religious Education: Elmhurst is always looking at ways to enrich our syllabus with talks from people from all faiths. If you’re interested in talking about your religion and culture, especially explaining and celebrating special festival days , please get in touch.
- Career Talks: Whether you’re an acrobat or a zoologist, our children are always interested and fascinated about what your job entails and how they may be to do it. Please come in and talk to the children about the world of working; it might ignite a passion in something they never thought they had.
