Before and After School Care

Elmhurst provides comprehensive wraparound care services, designed to support working parents by offering flexible childcare options beyond regular school hours. This service ensures children have a safe, engaging environment where they can participate in various activities, complete their homework, and socialise with peers.

This flexibility helps families better manage their schedules, reducing the stress associated with balancing work commitments and childcare needs.

Elmhurst offers Breakfast Club, Sibling Club, After School Club and Holiday Club. Parents have their own access to a booking portal, providing easy payments and booking management.

Before School: Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club runs everyday, allowing busy parents to drop their children off from 7.30am each morning. Children can enjoy a selection of hot and cold breakfast options until 8:15am when the school gates open, providing a substantial and nutritious start to their day.

After School: Sibling Club

For ease, Elmhurst runs Sibling Club which provides free childcare from 3:00 to 3:50 pm for children with older siblings at the school. This thoughtful service allows parents to conveniently collect both children at the same time, eliminating the need for early pickups and extended waiting periods.

Many times, younger siblings will be offered a variety of clubs to join during this period such as Finger Gym, Construction Club, Story Time and many more to continue their education in a fun and entertaining way.

After School:ASC (After School Club)

Elmhurst’s After School Club runs daily during the week, between 3.00pm and 6.00pm. It’s available for all pupils from Little Elms to Year 6. The Club offers a range of activities including sport, games and arts and crafts, as well as assisted homework time. A variety of light snacks and refreshments are offered.

Bookings are made through the Magic Booking system which accepts childcare vouchers. Bookings made on the day incur a £2 booking charge.

Holiday Club

Elmhurst offers a dynamic Holiday Club during the half-term and summer breaks, providing children with a screen-free environment filled with arts, craft, and sports activities. Wraparound care is run by the Mrs King, our Lead Nursery Head and Ms Krispy who looks after the KS2 pupils.
