The Elmhurst Friends’ Association (EFA)

The EFA was formed in September 1984 and all parents are automatically members of this Association, whose aim is specifically to organise social events and fundraising activities. The EFA. is a great way to meet parents from other year groups and to get more involved in your child’s life at the school. All monies raised are spent on the pupils with the aim of enhancing their school life. You can download the Elmhurst Friends’ Association Constitution here.

We hold various events throughout the year such as the Christmas Fair, a Quiz Night and Summer Fair. Through these events, we raise money to give back directly to our boys. We also run social events for boys to enjoy time with their friends, making use of the school’s facilities.

In recent years we have been able to donate iPad’s to the boys, which have helped to enhance their learning in their ICT lessons, and fund exciting outdoor activities such as school trips to Go Ape.

We are an extended Elmhurst Family and our door is always open so come along to our next meeting! Ask at the School Office or have a chat with your Parent Class Rep.

The parent voice on school development

For those parents who are keen to be involved in aspects of school development, there is also a parent ambassador group. The purpose of the ambassador group is to represent the parent voice on school development matters and meetings are held with the Head on a termly basis. Contact the school office if you would like to be part of this group.
