On Wednesday, our Year 4, 5 & 6 pupils enjoyed an exhilarating trip to the Globe Theatre to see a matinee of Hansel and Gretel. We walked along the Southbank, had lunch on the river and then stood in the yard as ‘groundlings’ to watch the show. The children were so close they could almost touch the actors.
Everyone sang along, laughing and fully immersed in the story as the grandma witch captured Hansel and Gretel with the help of some villainous singing foxes.
