Reception Trip to Gatton Park
Our Reception class enjoyed a wonderful trip to Gatton Park on Tuesday. The workshop and activities were all based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the children excelled themselves with their hunting, ordering and understanding the life cycle of the butterfly.
We explored the beautiful grounds and in glorious sunshine found camouflaged caterpillars, discs with the different life stages on and objects from nature to fill out very own Hungry Caterpillar’s tummy. Such wonderful weather allowed us to picnic outside overlooking the lake and watch the ponies go by.
A great day of fun and learning was had by all. A big ‘thank you’ to all our wonderful parent helpers.
